Origin of Hardts & Flowers

Anique Hardt Schachner, the founder and lead designer of Hardts and Flowers, found her passion for floral design after college and has been pursuing it with her whole heart ever since. She was educated at the renowned New York Botanical Garden where she honed the important skills she needed to eventually land a job with one of Manhattan's top floral design studios. It was there that she learned the value of absolute perfection and the inability to settle for anything less. She designed alongside many wonderful designers in her work as a freelancer for events catering to the movers and shakers of New York City, as well as those she met while working as a lead designer for floats featured in the Pasadena Rose Parade. After a few years living and working in the city, Anique found herself longing for a more tranquil life and moved back home to Port Jefferson. Her high standards pushed her to open her own floral studio in hopes of bringing her techniques and skill to her hometown and surrounding neighborhoods.
